Chapter 262 Kissing later
Chapter 262 Kissing later
At noon, the dining car was pushed over from the next carriage, with vendors calling out their wares intermittently.
"Boxed lunch! Boxed lunch! Chicken leg rice, mushroom and chicken stew..."
Several girls sat up from their bunks; some took out their wallets, while others put on their shoes.
A girl with a ponytail turned her head to look at Xiao Yunqing.
"Want to go buy some food together?"
Xiao Yunqing put down her phone and was about to speak.
Song Huan walked over from the other end of the aisle, carrying two bulging white plastic bags that were steaming.
Several girls looked at him and asked curiously, "Handsome, did you buy your lunch from the food cart?"
Song Huan nodded and casually reminded them, "I heard from others that the chicken leg rice is not good, so don't buy it. The mushroom and chicken stir-fry is pretty good though."
The girls thanked them a few times and left together.
Only Song Huan and Xiao Yunqing remained in the corridor.
Song Huan handed her a bag of boxed lunches.
Xiao Yunqing took it, but the plastic box was too hot to handle, so she switched to her other hand.
She was feeling hungry, so she opened the lid and the aroma of mushroom and chicken wafted out. She picked up her chopsticks, took a piece of chicken, and put it in her mouth.
He chewed a couple of times, then squinted.
Song Huan picked up another bag and turned to leave.
"Where are you going?" Xiao Yunqing immediately looked up and called out to him.
Song Huan turned around, feeling puzzled. "Let's go eat."
Xiao Yunqing pouted and patted her bed. "Why don't we just eat here?"
Song Huan glanced at the lower bunk, then at her.
"This isn't a good idea. If they see this when they come back, it won't look good."
Xiao Yunqing grew anxious, "What's wrong with the impact?"
Song Huan leaned against the partition in the aisle, spreading her hands, "What if they think we're a couple and make other people afraid to confess to me? You don't want to date in college, but I do."
"Song Huan!"
Xiao Yunqing was furious.
She got up from the bed, pounced on him, and bit his arm.
Song Huan was startled and tried to shrink back, but she was held in place and couldn't move.
When he finally broke free, there was a clear, red, ring-shaped tooth mark on his arm.
"Holy crap, are you crazy?!" He clutched his arm, grimacing.
Xiao Yunqing glared at him, her eyes red, "If you dare to date, I'll bite you to death!"
Her inner voice drifted over from over there, urgent and fierce, like a cat with its fur standing on end.
[You dare!]
[You dare to find someone else!]
[I'll bite you to death!]
Song Huan was both amused and exasperated. She picked up her lunchbox and slunk away.
Xiao Yunqing stood by the bed, watching his figure disappear around the corner of the corridor. She smiled slightly, sat down, and continued eating.
The chicken was still hot. She picked up a piece, put it in her mouth, and chewed it with relish.
The girls came back after they finished eating.
They came in and saw Xiao Yunqing sitting alone on the edge of the bed. She had finished eating and was wiping her mouth.
The girl with the ponytail asked, "Where's your friend? Didn't they eat with you?"
Xiao Yunqing opened her mouth, preparing to answer.
Suddenly remembering something, she paused for a moment, then said frankly, "Oh, my boyfriend likes to eat by himself."
The girls were stunned for a moment, then looked at each other in bewilderment.
They were friends in the morning, and by noon they were boyfriend?
They glanced at each other, then looked at Xiao Yunqing.
Xiao Yunqing didn't explain. She closed the lunchbox, wiped her hands with a tissue, and smiled.
I felt really happy.
[snort.]
[That's my boyfriend.]
No one is allowed to take it!
During the midday break, the carriage quieted down.
Some people are scrolling through their phones, some are listening to music with headphones on, and some are already asleep.
Xiao Yunqing lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep.
She glanced at her phone, then at the hallway.
He's not in now.
A girl came back from the toilet and passed by Xiao Yunqing's bunk. Seeing that she was awake, she bent down and lowered her voice.
"I just saw your boyfriend; he's sleeping in the aisle between the carriages. Why don't you call him over here? He seems uncomfortable lying there. The rest of us don't mind."
The other girls nodded in agreement. "Yeah, let's call him over. He was kind enough to remind us not to buy chicken leg rice this morning."
Xiao Yunqing immediately sat up and put on her shoes.
"Then I'll go ask him."
……
The connecting area between the carriages was noisy, with people coming and going.
Some people were on the phone, some were smoking, and some were dragging suitcases past Song Huan, their wheels making a rumbling sound as they rolled across the ground.
Song Huan leaned against the carriage wall, her suitcase in front of her and a woven bag under her bottom.
He had his eyes closed, his head tilted to one side, and he was half asleep, half awake.
He had finally fallen asleep when someone suddenly nudged him.
He opened his eyes impatiently. A young man with dyed yellow hair, about the same age as him, was squatting in front of him, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, but it wasn't lit.
With an ambiguous smile on his face, the blond-haired man squatted down next to Song Huan and lowered his voice.
"Hey bro, what do you think of the view here?"
Song Huan was completely bewildered.
Scenery? What scenery?
He looked around. The connecting area between the carriages was made of gray-white sheet metal, the floor was dirty, and outside the window was a pitch-black night where he couldn't see anything.
As he was wondering, a woman walked past them, her white thighs exposed, wearing a short skirt and high heels.
The woman gave them a disdainful look, went into the toilet next door, and closed the door.
Huang Mao chuckled and nudged Song Huan with his elbow.
Song Huan suddenly realized.
So this is the scenery he was talking about, damn it.
Song Huan sat up straight, her expression serious.
"Brother, you've misunderstood. I'm sleeping here because it's spacious, there's no other reason. I'm not that kind of person."
The blond guy didn't believe him, blew on his bangs, and said, "Looking at legs is fine, we're all single, looking at them is good for our mental and physical health."
Song Huan nodded. "I agree with the second half of what you said, but I disagree with the first half. I'm not single."
The blond-haired man paused for a moment, then looked him up and down.
Song Huan sat on the ground, leaning against the carriage wall, her hair disheveled and her clothes wrinkled. There were woven bags and suitcases next to her, making her look like a refugee.
But upon closer inspection, his facial features and brow bone are quite good; he has a good foundation.
"You have a girlfriend?" The blond guy's voice rose a half octave.
Song Huan puffed out her chest. "Of course there is, and it's right here in this car."
Huang Mao had initially believed him, but now he was completely unconvinced. He curled his lip and said, "You're just bragging. I've been watching you here for a while now. If you really had a girlfriend, you would be with her."
Song Huan waved his hand, "My girlfriend has a hard sleeper ticket, I don't want to disturb her rest."
The blond-haired guy glared at him and said, "Damn, you're actually putting on an act."
He took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, pulled one out, and handed it to him.
"Alright, bro, stop bragging. Here, have a smoke."
Song Huan didn't take it. "I'm not smoking anymore. I'm going to kiss her later, and she doesn't like the smell of smoke."
The blond-haired man's hand froze in mid-air as he looked at Song Huan's serious face, thinking that this guy was putting on an act.
He was about to speak.
A person walked out from in front.
She was wearing a light blue dress, her hair was tied in a ponytail, her face was fair, her eyes were big, and her lips were red.
Standing at the junction of the carriages, he looked like he had stepped out of a magazine.
She's even prettier than that long-legged beauty from before!
The blond-haired man opened his mouth, almost dropping his cigarette.
The woman glanced at him, then at Song Huan, and called out softly.
"Song Huan, come and go to sleep."
After saying that, he turned and left.
Her ponytail swung behind her, and her skirt fluttered in the wind.
The blond-haired man's gaze shifted from the woman to Song Huan.
Song Huan chuckled, patted his behind, and stood up. "I'm off, bro. I'm going to sleep over there."
He picked up his suitcase and woven bag, took a couple of steps, then stopped, turned around, and wore that smug smile on his face.
"Ugh, should I kiss her first or touch her hand or leg? This is so frustrating..."
He shook his head, sighed, and turned to leave.
Yellow Hair squatted down and looked down at the cigarette in his hand.
He had already crushed the cigarette into a deformed shape.
He threw the cigarette hard on the ground.
"Holy shit!"
