Chapter 785. Leaving again
Chapter 785. Leaving again
News of Kailen’s return spread through the light region of the universe. Many of the powerhouses who were acquainted with him paid visits to him to greet him.
During these visits, Kailen even met with the Supremes who were the only ones in the supreme council at the time he was inaugurated as the Void Supreme. He even saw the former arbiters he was acquainted with when he became an arbiter after graduating from the Dao Enlightenment Academy in the mid-tier civilizations. They had also become supremes and were part of the supreme council at the moment. Even Carther Fenix and the president of the SCA general HQ paid him visits.
Currently, all the powerhouses had left. Kailen was taking a walk with Felicia at the moment.
"To think you’d be this grown up, heh..." Kailen winked at her.
Felicia stomped the ground. "Uncle... you..."
Kailen laughed so much that he almost fell down.
"I’m proud of you, little Feli," Kailen said genuinely.
To think that little girl he saved in an alleyway a long time ago on Earth and escorted home to her parents would grow up to become a genius of the younger generation in the light region.
Felicia’s eyes beamed with warmth. She almost cried. She threw herself into Kailen’s embrace, acting like a little girl. She said softly, "It means a lot to me coming from you, uncle."
"Mmm. I mean it." Kailen hugged her genuinely. "Now now... stop hugging me before Joseph sends assassins after me, okay?"
"Shameless old man." Felicia gave him a light jab to the flank and chuckled.
Kailen smiled.
"I should be leaving soon."
"That quickly?"
"Yeah..."
"When will you visit next?"
"I can’t tell for now..."
Of course, Kailen knew when he’d return. He had already discussed it with Arrie. The next time he’d return, it won’t be just a visit; he would be returning to start a family with Arrie. That meant he would have dealt with the six vimodial seats. But that was not something Felicia and any other person had to know.
Finally, Felicia broke the silence. From the skyscraper they stood on, she pointed to somewhere in the middle of the ocean.
"That’s your statue, and the birth of the pill spirit."
Kailen stared at the statue. An emotional glint flashed through his eyes. He remembered the events that happened at the stadium. How long had that been?
Time had passed so quickly.
"Don’t die, uncle. Take care of yourself," Felicia said.
Kailen nodded.
"Don’t worry about such needless things. Are you planning my funeral or something?" he said. "I should get back to your aunt."
"Mmm."
Felicia nodded as Kailen disappeared from the skyscraper they were standing on in the RiverBlood Empire Academy.

Kailen said goodbye to his loved ones. Currently, he was alone with Arrie on the balcony of Arrie’s vacation villa in the Heavenly Lightning Sect.
"Return to me safely. I can’t wait to have your children, Kai." Arrie hugged Kailen deeply.
"Mmm." Kailen nodded and kissed her forehead.
"Going without saying goodbye again?"
The gang appeared before Kailen could sneak away.
Kailen chuckled. "No hard feelings, guys. It’s temporary."
"Sure, sure... see you in another million years."
Kailen rolled his eyes at their comment. Everyone hugged him warmly.
Julian appeared beside Kailen. He also nodded to everyone, and they all nodded back.
As Kailen and Julian turned and were about to leave, Charles whispered, "Bros before..."
Julian added, "Hoes..."
Everyone laughed. These two were really alike.
Everyone stared at Kailen and Julian’s backs as they disappeared into the horizon.
"I wonder what crazy thing we will hear about him soon," Micheal said. Everyone nodded emotionally.
As for Arrie, all she could think about was a time in the future when he returned to her, and they could have a peaceful forever together.

Somewhere in the starry sea.
Light region of the universe.
Kailen and Julian eventually appeared before the barrier separating the light region from the chaotic region. Kailen stood still, his gaze peering through the void. He stared back at his loved ones, especially Arrie, for a while as a glint of emotion and determination flashed through his eyes.
After that, he turned around and passed through the barrier. Julian followed. The duo left the light region.
****
Chaotic region of the Universe.
Venzula Empire.
15th continent.
Chrysanthemum City.
Western part of the city.
Venzula Empire Academy.
The atmosphere was misty and it was snowing. The moonlight spilled across the place.
Kailen had arrived at the academy. After arriving in the city, Julian returned to the NGU national HQ to dedicate his time to growing stronger and accomplishing tasks required of him. Kailen would also be focused on taking academy missions, earning contribution points, and having access to secret realms and principle fragment towers to grow stronger. It would be a while before they would meet.
Currently, Kailen was in his villa in the academy. He changed into a hoodie, long coat, jeans, and sneakers and headed out of the building. He followed the directions of the academy map.
Having passed through several buildings, trees, and regions, he arrived at the building for the academic faction. Since he had already decided to join the Academic faction, he didn’t see the need to delay himself.
The building was a large skyscraper with different floors. Kailen entered it, alongside several individuals from different races entering the building.
Kailen heard several whispers.
"Did you hear the news?"
"What?"
"Two people died in one of the death arenas today."
"Interesting. I was on a mission. I would have probably gone to see the match. It’s not everyday that the academy gets this lively."
"Apparently, one of them was from our academic faction and the other was from the royal faction."
"What’s special about that? Even people from the academic faction have grudges with each other and settle them in the death arenas."
"Yeah... explain yourself well."
"Okay. The person from the royal faction tried to assassinate the person from our academic faction when he was in the 10th continent on a mission. However, the assassination failed. He managed to find out the identity of the person from the royal faction when he returned to the academy."
"Yeah, I heard it too. When he returned, he issued a death battle to the fellow from the royal faction. The two duked it out. They were equally matched in strength. They both delivered killing blows to each other at the same time and died in the end."
"Again, that’s normal. People die in the death arenas all the time."
"The two were strong Rank 4 novice-stage Transcendents! I’m narrating it because it sucks that I was not here to go and observe the match. It really sucks."
"Ah... so this is why you decided to waste our time to share this information. Fuck off."
"Okay, okay... see you later, guys."
As the group discussed, Kailen passed by them and noted.
"Seems the academy is a very ruthless place after all. These fellows are discussing the death of two Rank 4 novice-stage Transcendents like it’s nothing. Interesting," Kailen thought.
He finally arrived on the registration floor of the Academic Faction.
